Mountain River Venison’s presence in Switzerland continues to grow, thanks to the strong partnerships built by Jacques Beyeler and our distributor network. Awareness and demand are steadily rising among premium retail and gastronomy customers who value quality, provenance, and sustainability.
Last year, Jacques and Shannon Campbell visited Hugo Dubno, a long-time supporter of New Zealand venison and a respected figure in Switzerland’s premium food sector. Hugo’s company, Dubno AG, is a founding member of the CASIC (Carne Selecta International Club) cooperative and supplies some of the country’s top restaurants and leading retailers - including Manor.
In 2024, Mountain River Venison was supplied to Manor Food through Dubno for the first time - a significant milestone that highlighted our shared commitment to quality and responsible sourcing. Over the past year, volumes have continued to grow, marking another steady step forward in establishing a premium New Zealand venison presence in the Swiss market.
Founded in 1947, CASIC is Switzerland’s largest delicatessen cooperative, representing suppliers known for excellence and craftsmanship. Founding member Dubno AG offers a curated range of specialty products - from truffles, caviar, and fine meats to olive oils, grains, and seafood - serving both high-end restaurants and premium retailers where Mountain River Venison naturally fits among the best.
With around 60 locations across Switzerland, Manor is the country’s largest department-store chain. Its Manor Food division operates 23 food departments and 18 butcher counters, each built around strong principles of quality, regional sourcing, and sustainability. The product selection carries a clear Mediterranean influence, showcasing fresh and responsibly produced foods with transparency from farm to plate.

Thanks to the continued efforts of Jacques, Hugo, and the Dubno team, New Zealand venison is earning a trusted place on Switzerland’s finest menus and in premium retail displays - proof that consistent quality, shared values, and long-term relationships build lasting results.
