From a small-town restaurant with a closely guarded secret to one of Sweden's most spectacular concert venues, Mountain River Venison is winning over chefs, delighting diners and building a growing reputation.

A Chef Who Won't Share His Secret!
In Hedemora, a small Swedish town around 200 kilometres from Stockholm, the owner of Restaurant Akropolis has discovered something special.
After trying Mountain River Venison Rump earlier this year, he described it as the best meat he had ever eaten and worked with.
His customers love it too!
Served with pan-fried potatoes, tzatziki and béarnaise sauce, the dish has become such a favourite that other local restaurants have been asking which venison brand he uses.
But he's keeping that secret to himself — because he believes the dish is bringing customers through his doors!
The restaurant is now purchasing around 20 kg of Mountain River Venison each week.
From Restaurant Tables to a Remarkable Concert Venue
At Dalhalla, one of Sweden's most extraordinary concert and event venues, set within a former limestone quarry, Mountain River Venison is also making its mark.
After trialling several Mountain River Venison cuts throughout the year, the Dalhalla team selected our Baby Topside for their event menu.
Their confidence in the product has translated into an advance order of 1,200 kg for October–December 2026.
It's an exciting example of Mountain River Venison finding its place in distinctive dining experiences around the world.
