Everyone in the Mountain River Community extends our warmest congratulations to Chef Simon Levy, Lisa Levy, and the entire INATI team on being awarded a MICHELIN Star in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide New Zealand. It is a remarkable achievement and a well-deserved recognition of the passion, creativity, and dedication that define everything they do.
We were privileged to experience that passion firsthand when Simon and his team prepared the dinner for our Mountain River Community Meeting in Dunsandel this past March. It was far more than a meal. It was an experience that brought our community together around exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, and a shared appreciation for premium New Zealand ingredients.
Simon's approach to cooking reflects many of the same values that underpin our farming community: respect for provenance, uncompromising quality, collaboration, and a commitment to bringing out the very best in every ingredient. The INATI team has built something truly special, creating one of New Zealand's most welcoming dining experiences.
It has been a privilege to see New Zealand venison featured as part of Simon's remarkable culinary journey, and we are incredibly proud to celebrate this milestone alongside them.
