Mountain River Venison continued its European showcase with Chef Graham Brown attending the “Smak och Inspiration” (Taste and Inspiration) Fair in Gothenburg, Sweden, on Wednesday, 22 October 2025.
Hosted by Martin & Servera, Sweden’s leading foodservice distributor, the event took place at the Scandinavium Arena and brought together chefs, restaurateurs, and hospitality professionals from across the region. The fair is known as a key meeting place for the restaurant and catering industry to explore new flavours, discover innovative products, and connect with suppliers.
Representing Mountain River Venison on the Martin & Servera stand, Graham Brown was, once again, flat out preparing and serving tastings to a constant flow of customers. The response was enthusiastic, with visitors showing strong interest in the full venison range.
The Mountain River venison meatballs in particular proved to be a major favourite – following their success at the Bolzano Foodshow in Italy just days earlier. Graham noted that they are shaping up to be a hit in both markets, appealing to chefs looking for premium, lean, and flavourful menu options that align with Nordic and Alpine cuisine.
Events like this continue to build awareness and appreciation for New Zealand venison in Europe’s discerning foodservice markets. With long-term partners such as Martin & Servera, Mountain River Venison is proud to see its products connecting with chefs who value provenance, quality, and natural flavour.
