It’s that time of year again - when we embark on a farmer sales tour of the USA. This September, Glen Whyte of Whyte Farming and David Morgan of Raincliff Station will be heading off to the USA for two weeks.
Mountain River supports the annual trip, because this is the time of year when chefs in the USA are considering their fall menus. So the NZ team will be meeting with potential new accounts around the country. They will be represent Mountain River and Cervena venison to the world and pitch them through presentations, and of course, samples of our renowned venison!
These sales tours are also important as they present a great opportunity to meet the international chefs and discuss our top-quality venison. Where it comes from, how it’s produced and all the important considerations that go into deciding on their key suppliers.
The trip will be a great opportunity to take on board some feedback - and of course it’s always very interesting to see how the chefs decide to incorporate the venison into their menus. The aim is to get menu listings at the start of the season – Autumn is rapidly approaching in the northern hemisphere.
We look forward to hearing how the trip goes for all involved.
