On April 24, 2018, Anna Marie Longo of Terra Pacific coordinated with local distributor/meat purveyor Golden Gate Meats to host an invitation-only special Mountain River venison butchery demonstration and tasting featuring DINZ Executive Chef Graham Brown.
The guests were a range of restaurant owners, their chefs & cooking staff and ‘front of house’ staff; along with caterers, winery chefs, culinary educators, retailers & Golden Gate Meats’ sales representatives.
Take a look at this video of the event:
The objectives of the event were to –
Inspire chefs and decision makers in the local culinary world to try a product they may not be familiar with
Promote the ease of availability and the wide range of Mountain River Cervena venison cuts
Highlight the tender, delicious, healthy and versatile attributes of the product, with particular emphasis on the wide range of value-added cuts available with applications for each season
Educate the sales teams of the unique features and benefits of the product
Showcase the provenance of our venison and give ‘behind the farm gate’ insights into the humane and sustainable farming practices that are a cornerstone of the Mountain River Cervena program.
The venue: The Kitchen Collective – an urban cooking club: www.kitchencollective.club
Calling itself an urban cooking club, Kitchen Collective has a focus on promoting the epicurean experience, allowing members to share its fully-stocked stat of the art kitchen.
